Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AmbiosIT s. r. o. processes personal data under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data.

1. Controller

2. What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

We keep data collection to a minimum. We process:

  • Contact-form data (your name, email address and message) - to receive and respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a possible contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Server log data (IP address, browser/user-agent, requested pages, timestamps) - created automatically to operate and secure the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security and reliability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Cookies and similar storage - essential cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest; analytics or other non-essential cookies only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). See our Cookie Policy.

3. Recipients, processors and transfers

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with service providers acting as processors on our behalf - for example our website hosting provider Websupport s. r. o. and email provider Websupport s. r. o. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA.

4. How long we keep it

We keep contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards (24 months), then delete them. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Records of consent are kept as evidence that consent was given.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict processing;
  • data portability;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.

6. Right to lodge a complaint
